Happy Memorial Day

I came up here to my bedroom to write a quick note and I brought Olivia with me. She has been entertaining herself for the last 5 minutes with my alarm clock. She pushes the “sleep” button so the music comes on, then she hits the “snooze” button which we all know turns the music off. Apparently, this doesn’t get old to her (I taught her this a month ago and she still loves it). And of course, she is dancing to every song – she dances to just about every bit of music she hears. I can even get her to dance just by busting out with a little beatbox.

Anyway, Happy Memorial Day. I’d like to remember my late grandfather, Hector LeBlanc. He suffered a gunshot wound to the leg in World War II, which left him without use of his knee. He survived to care for and love his family well into his years. He and my grandmother are both missed.

I’d also like to say thanks to everyone who has served in one of the services. My heart goes out to those that risk their lives to make the world a better place. The sacrifice you and your families make does not go unnoticed. You are heroes…thank you.

PS. This morning was the first in many days that Misty woke up happy…not depressed. Most days start off very rough emotionally. Like yesterday, I woke up and turned to see tears in Misty’s eyes. I’m not sure why…but mornings always seem hard. By lunch time, we are usually ok. Well, this was a wonderful morning and hopefully a wonderful day.

It get’s cute when little kids start learning to dance with music. I remember all 3 of my kids when they would do that. It’s so cute.

Yes, my dad also was in the war and is on the wall at Arlington. It was Mikes and my father. He was a colonail in the Air Force. He did get shot down, but without injury. But we lost his several years ago to prostate cancer. So remembering the ones that are saddly missed and sacrifice all they have for there family is remarkable.

I’m so glad to hear that Misty was happy today. I know how that would be so wonderful to see after all that she goes through every day. But she is in everyones hands and we hold them high to the Highest power to take away her disease, or cure her or at least make her comfortable.

    Love to all of you,

    Aunt Amy~

    Hey Darren -

Good to hear that you, Misty, and Olivia had a good day today – you all deserve it!

My dad was also in WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart among other medals for bravery, having been shot six times. When he passed away in 2000, he still had one of those bulletts in his back, and one in his right knee.

God bless our soldiers, and God bless you & your family, Darren.

    Darren, Misty and Olivia;
My dad was a WW I navy vet and he taught me to love this wonderful country of ours; but more importantly he taught the love of our Lord Jesus and I am eternally grateful for that.
Pray every day for you all and for a miracle in Misty’s life and for her healing. I check your website almost everyday and enjoy reading the update and the stories about Olivia. Thanks for sharing.
    Regards,
    Beth

Thinking of you all every day and praying with everything within me for the healing of Misty. Mom and I (Wanda, Mikes mom, Mistys grandma and I-Amy) will be fasting for Misty tomorrow. You all are in our hearts and we are praying that God will do what He needs to do to heal and take care of Misty. Love to you all.

    Love, Amy, grandma, and Lacey

Watching God TV tonight, I realy feel that God touched Misty. Valerie stood in for her and I laid hands on her. Todd has a special anointing tonight to heal cancer.

    My dearest LeBlanc’s,
You are the last thing that I read each night…I pray for our girl’s miracle and have calming faith to Let Go and Let God. The trials and tribulations you all have been through is witness to the true and pure faith going on here whether it comes from inside your own four walls or the thousands of believers that have joined your tribute to God and his miracles. Please sleep well and awaken with a smile and gladness for all his blessings.
    I love you all,
    Aunt Cathy

    Darren,

Misty, Olivia, and you are in both Beth and my prayers. Although unlike Beth (my wife), I am not a “religious” person but do believe in the power of faith and prayer. I do not know how I would have stood up under a similar situation. The strength that you and Misty have shown is a testament to your faith. Beth is a “lay” minister at her church (Trinity Presbyterian in Paramus, NJ) and often preaches when the “real” minister is away on leave or church business. I know that prayers have been said for you, Misty, and Olivia during Concerns of the Congregation. Rest easy and let me know if there is anything that Beth and I can do to assist during your time of need.

THANK YOU, FATHER, for the promises in your word. May they be incentives for me to continue in prayer so that your will may be accomplished and your kingdom will come in my life, family, nation, and world. Holy Spirit, thank you for dwelling within me and for filling me with your power. Let my prayers be pleasing to you, Father, as your Spirit leads me in praying in light of your promises.

This was in my daily readings today and I thought I would share with you.
