Happy Father’s Day

It’s Father’s Day…so let’s remember to be good Fathers. Let’s remember to make our kids feel loved above all else and to put them above our work, hobbies and even important church or community volunteer work. Let’s remind them everyday that they are talented, special, beautiful, unique, strong, and loved. Let’s display our words in our actions as well.

Sometimes we may not want the responsibility, but in a traditional family unit, dads are the single largest influence in a young girl’s self esteem…so give her a kiss and let her know she’s beautiful and gifted (both are equally important). And every boy looks to his dad for cues on relationships, work ethic and lifestyle. So, let’s treat mom right, work hard and live the way we do in church – each day of the week. Most likely, he is going to be a lot like us. And remind him that he has what it takes…every young man needs that question answered.

And pray every day that we can do it better tomorrow.

That is totaly true Darren. We all know that you are such a wonderful father, and husband. But each child is very special and means everything in the world above all. God blessed us with the miracle of children. We also know that God is going to help Misty. Keep all the faith as everyone is doing for Misty and your family.

    With Love, Aunt Amy~

Hope your day was very special~

Happy Father’s Day to one of the best fathers I know next to God, my own father, & my husband!!! Darren, if you feel left out of the ministry “loop” when you’re in the midst of all this, you shouldn’t!!! Don’t listen to the voices of doubt and discouragement trying to pull you down.

You & Misty’s transparency, candidness, faithfulness, & perseverence on a daily basis IS the most beautiful & powerful sermon or church “service” I have ever heard or seen! What may take you only a few moments to blog from your heart is impacting thousands in so many ways. Only eternity will someday show the impact of your lives for His kingdom! We love you all dearly and are so proud of you in so many ways…. words couldn’t say Meg

This post is so typical of you Darren and it makes me smile. You’re the most selfless, loving person I know. I wish more people had an attitude like yours!

    Praying for you both!! -Kristi
