sick and looking for a logo artist
Misty has been feeling sick for a few days. It’s not anything big…just general sick feeling - no cough or fever. It makes sense because Olivia is sick and Misty’s mom is sick as well. I finally called the dr and told him I wanted to start misty on an antibiotic. He concurred. Its tough, because antibiotics kill all your good bacteria, but at the same time, if there is any infection, you want to get it as soon as possible when you have a compromised immune system.
Hopefully, she will be feeling much better in a couple days.
PS…having a tough time working with the logo artist we hired for Anthem of Hope. If there is any professional graphic designers that want to donate some time to collaborate on a logo…email me.

Darren,
I plead the blood of Jesus over Misty as her peace, protection, healing, deliverance, and freedom! There is wonder-working power in the blood of the Lamb. Father, I ask You to bless her medicine that it does what it’s intended to do and leaves her good bacteria alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
I like your post from yesterday on how you are praying. Acting on your faith and standing on the truth takes you to a higher level in the spirit. You are fighting from victory and that’s a good place to be! It makes a BIG difference my friend!
Praise the Lord.
Darren,
You don’t know me but I have been following your story and my heart goes out to you and your family. Our prays are with you. I read your entry about the antibotics and I know how you are feeling about them. My 5 year old was diagnosted with lymes disease and we need to try her with a 28 day course of antibotics. This was upsetting to me because I believe that I have so issues related to prolonged use of antibotics. Anyway a friend of mine, who also had lymes, told me to also give her a probiotic. So I would give her the antibiotic in the morning and at night and give her the probiotic at night. I know you might not want to give her all these pills but I should help with the antibiotic. Okay enough talking. Just hang in there and we will continue to pray.
Gods Blessing to you always.

I, too am a huge fan of adding probiotics. They put good bacteria back in. Only the kind in the fridge at the health food store are worth it as they have the live cultures… still alive.
Hi Darren,
I’ve been following your blog for a few months. It’s quite possible that you are the most devoted, godly, and loving husband that I have ever known or heard of. So many of us get to log on and read about your day with Misty and in turn we are changed because of your Christ -likeness. I saw where someone had mentioned pro biotics to you. My family and I are missionaries in Haiti. My 1 and 3 year old had been sick from the moment of their birth because of compromised immune systems being in a 3rd world country. I researched what I could do to help them as my dr. had told me not to take them back to Haiti. I found a product called Threelac. It is a live probiotic and it has changed our lives. I started both kids on it in March…it is now almost September and neither of them have been sick since. That is 7 months without an antibiotic or even Tylenol. I pray God’s peace and blessings on you, Misty, and your sweet baby.
Thanks for the tips on probiotics. Currently we are on the high dose of Udo’s Super Bifido Plus Probiotic.
Darren
Here is info on an absolutely incredible logo designer
Darren and Misty, Everytime I look at that July 6th heading that says stopping all treatment, then I think of the Dr.’s prognosis and I am in awe of what our loving Lord has done in Misty… it’s been almost 2 months since then… God is good! I’m praying along with you for complete restoration for Misty. I’m hoping that everyone is feeling better soon.
Hi Darren, Misty and Olivia,
You don’t know me but I was at a prayer meeting at Calvary Lighthouse some time back and prayer was lifted up for you Misty. God so put all of you on my heart to be in prayer putting these requests constantly before the Lord of all Glory and Power. I am astounded at the strength and perserverance He is filling all of you with. I hope you know what an inspiration all of you are to the rest of us following your day to day trials, tribulations, victories, and praises. You are soooo real and transparent. Thank you for all your effort Darren, in keeping us posted on Misty’s progress. May this labor of love, Anthem of Hope, receive all the grace and provision of Almighty God to bring this to the glorious fulfillment of the vision He has given you for the Glory due His Name and to bless all those that will be touched and healed through the hope that rests in God alone. And God bless you dear, sweet Olivia for your faithful, innocent, and powerful prayers for your Mommy. May God’s canopy of love, provision, power, restoration, and joy cover you now and always. Keeping you in prayer.
Hey Darren. I’m going to school for graphic design and I don’t think I would personally be of much help as I am still learning the business, but I could talk to my professor, Mark Fertig, who is really good, and I could see if he would be interested. Shoot me an e-mail at woodward@susqu.edu or facebook me if you’re interested.
Hey Darren, I have a friend who is a professional graphic designer (not a web designer like us, which means…) he’s really good. Also, he’s a great Christian guy who I know would love to help. I’m pretty sure he’s been praying for Misty since I mentioned it to him. His name is Liam and you can contact him at “liam.slack at gmail.com” (you know the anti-spam drill).
