Darren LeBlanc

how great (update)

It’s time to change shifts for the nurses, so visiting hours gets suspended for a couple hours while they get settled. So it’s just me and Misty in here.

I look out her window and I can see a huge rooftop of another part of the building. It’s completely filled with stones from edge to edge. As an engineering major in college I had to take a class on estimating and I actually still use some of those tricks today (yes, I’m a nerd). So I did my back of the napkin calculation and estimated that the roof had about 6 million stones. There were so many of them. I would look at a specific stone, but when my eyes were taken away, I couldn’t find that single stone again. I didn’t intend for this to be dramatic at the time, but as I looked out I was just covered in this sense of peace. See, this rooftop has almost as many rocks as New Jersey has people. And if we had rocks for every person in this world, it would likely fill this small city’s limits. Yet, in this huge world, every person is individually and wholely loved and cared for by God. I can’t even find the same rock on this small roof, but somehow God knows how many hairs are on our heads.

I can’t tell you how many times it has been so clear to me that God has his hand on Misty. I believe he still does. I am going to continue to believe that as we go ahead and give Misty a test to see if her brain is at all alive. If not, she will be taken off life support.

I haven’t felt the need to say this up till now, but one thing Misty made us (me and claudia, her mom) promise was to keep praying even if she is declared legally dead. Misty knew that there were NO limits to Gods power. So tonight or tomorrow we will take this test and be happy with whatever the results. I imagine the results will be back tomorrow. If it shows that there are no signs of life in her brain, then we will pray fervently for the remaining hours till we have to bring her off the breathing machine.

God has plenty of time left. I can’t fully explain it, but I’m not worried a bit…just filled with peace and hope and trust in a God who has proven himself so many times.

UPDATE – test is today at 2pm, no idea how long it takes for results.

    We will continue to have hope and faith….no matter what the results are. I’ve had a feeling of peace all day about Misty. Just something inside of me keeps saying, “Everything is going to alright….Jesus is with Misty…at peace.” I feel God is with you and Misty right now and we will continue to pray and wait for God to show himself. He has so many times….but this time feels so different than the rest. Hang in there!!

    I am so blessed in how you and Misty discussed the tough stuff — and that now things are being done the way Misty wants them to be.

    Praying for abundant blessings and peace for all. God is fully able to heal.

    God is willing and able! Follow peace. Since y’all have discussed this very thing and made a decision about it – don’t be persuaded to change your mind regardless of the outcome of any tests. Here is an incredible story about taking God at His Word when tests say bad things:

    While I am still praying and believing that God will perform a miracle and save Misty’s life in the physical sense, I am also praising Him that He has already saved her life for eternity. I also believe that He has used the faith and hope of Misty and Darren to save others for eternity, too… we may not have heard about it yet, but I believe that we will. What we have read over and over again in these comments (myself being one of the recipients) is how many, many people have had their faith strenghtend, their hope restored, and their prayer-lives stepped up! Only a mighty, loving, and powerful Savior could allow Darren and Misty to have the hope and faith that has been displayed on this blog for many, many months… Rest in His love tonight, Darren… knowing that you have many people praying for Misty and for you.

    I’m not sure how to say this. I just want to tell you what a pillar of strength your whole family is to people like me. Regardless of what the tests say, I know Misty is in God’s hands. The peace you speak of, the faith you have consistently shown has truly made me believe again. I have yearned for that peace in my own life and due to some dark times, I had lost my way. I truly believe God is using you Darren to due wonders across the world. The mansion that awaits you and your family is splendid.

    The following song has just come to both my heart and mind…. a peace which passes *all* understanding…

    It Is Well With My Soul

    When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
    When sorrows like sea billows roll;
    Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
    It is well, it is well, with my soul.

    Refrain

    It is well, with my soul,
    It is well, with my soul,
    It is well, it is well, with my soul.

    Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
    Let this blest assurance control,
    That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
    And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

    Refrain

    My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
    My sin, not in part but the whole,
    Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
    Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

    Refrain

    For me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live:
    If Jordan above me shall roll,
    No pang shall be mine, for in death as in life
    Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul.

    Refrain

    But, Lord, ‘tis for Thee, for Thy coming we wait,
    The sky, not the grave, is our goal;
    Oh trump of the angel! Oh voice of the Lord!
    Blessèd hope, blessèd rest of my soul!

    Refrain

    And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
    The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
    The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
    Even so, it is well with my soul.

    Refrain

    Darren and Sweet Misty,
    I am encouraged by your reliance on the Great Physician. I know HE alone can heal Misty’s brain. I have a friend who’s son was declared brain dead by 5 doctors. His family and friends kept praying. The Lord healed him and he is alive & well with no problems after drowning. Keep praying, never lose hope. Jesus, be with Misty, heal her brain, make her whole. We magnify your name and give you glory for the work you are doing. Misty is in your hands and nothing is impossible for you. Keep the faith Darren. Praying here in McKinney TX. Heather Rice

    There are probably thousands of us with you in the room with Misty…all of us there in Spirit.

    Still believing with you,

I love you guys so much, and I can’t wait to talk with Misty in the very near future about how loved she is – by you, by her family and friends, by countless people around the country and the world, and, most of all, by God. Believing!!!!

    Hi Darren, Misty and Olivia,
    We are strangers- I happen upon your story today on an old friends’ facebook page. I followed the link and read for a few minutes. Then, I closed the window and wondered if it was real. Since then, I have visited your site 5-6 times to read more.(Yes, all the same day.)
    I know God will give us exactly what we need at the moment we need it. He knows I have been questioning my faith during my seemingly never ending battles with the dark one- just never would’ve guessed His answers would come by clicking a link on a social network.
    I have not prayed in a long time- But my first one tonight will be for you 3. Thank you Misty, Darren and Olivia.

    Darren and Misty,
    I just kept thinking that God allowed Misty to slip into a coma so he could work on her brain while her body was peaceful. Whatever the outcome it is God’s will and it is beyond our own understanding. May God continue his peace in you and your family.

    Darren, I BELIEVE GOD IS MORE POWERFUL THAN WE CAN IMAGINE AND THAT SOMETIMES PEOPLE ALLOW OTHERS TO TAKE THEIR RIGHT TO BELIEVE HIM TO DO FAR ABOVE WHAT WE HAVE SEEN OURSELVES OR EXPERIENCED. SO, I CHOSE TO BELIEVE WITH YOU ALL, AND EXERCISE MY FAITH, AND ASK GOD TO HEAL MISTY AND RESTORE HER TO HEALTH AND LIFE, NO MATTER ANY WORLDLY PROGNOSIS. FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR, THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT (YET) SEEN. FROM THE DUST OF THE GROUND, CREATOR GOD MADE US, AND WALKED IN THE COOL OF THE EVENING WITH ADAM AND EVE. FROM EGYYPT, DELIVERER GOD BROUGHT FORTH OVER A MILLION PEOPLE THROUGH THE PARTED WATERS OF THE DEAD SEA AND FOR FORTY YEARS SUSTAINED THEM WHILE THEIR CLOTHES AND SHOES DID NOT WEAR OUT AND THEY WERE DAILY FED WITH MANNA, AND MOSES TABERNACLED WITH HIM. ALMIGHTY GOD VISITED MOSES OJ THE MOUNTAIN TOP, AND SHOWED HIM HIS GLORY. DARREN, YOU ARE NO LESS A MAN THAN MOSES. CONTINUE TO WALK WITH HIM IN THE COOL OF THE EVENING. ALLOW HIM TO DELIVER YOU OF ANY AND EVERY THING. (I TRULY BELIEVE THAT AT THE END OF YOUR JOURNEY, YOU INDEED WILL SEE THAT GOD HAS MADE SOMETHING GREAT OF YOUR LIFE.) AS WELL, ALLOW HIM TO MANIFEST IN YOU HIS GLORY; HIS SPIRIT IS ALREADY IN YOU. YOU ARE MISTY’S COVERING AND HER SPIRITUAL HEAD. YOU HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO SPEAK TO THE CANCER AND TELL IT TO GO. WE ARE BELIEVING IN WHAT GOD IS DOING. WALK IN THE SPIRIT – WAIT ON THE LORD – AND STEP OUT AND DO THE VERY THING GOD HAS ALREADY TOLD YOU TO DO. EVERY MOMENT WALK IN FAITH, KEEP WALKING, PRAYING, BELIEVING, ASKING, RECEIVING. HE HEARS YOU, HE HEARS US, LET’S RECEIVE THE MIRACLE FOR MISTY. LET’S LET HIM BE GOD!

    Good evening. I am a friend of MaryAlice. She directed me to your website and I am so very happy that she did. Your description of the stones when looking out the window is very moving; nearly to tears. I can feel your peace as I read. And I know as well as you do where that peace comes from. You have great strength and courage as does Misty. Your deep faith has provided a lighted path for you both. May you continue to walk in His light. I will pray for you both.

    A friend in Christ,

    Christine

    what a mighty God we serve. Praying, believing, and knowing with you friends. Lots of love from Boston.

  39. Michele September 23rd, 2008 1:37 am

    2 Corinthians 1:18-22 But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not “Yes” and “No.” For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by me and Silas and Timothy, was not “Yes” and “No,” but in him it has always been “Yes.” For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

    Thank You God for making us stand firm in Christ! Thank You that every promise is YES in Christ and AMEN is for Your glory! We stand firm for healing and restoration in Misty through the wonder-working power of the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ. In His name, AMEN!

  40. Michele September 23rd, 2008 1:42 am

    Sorry ~ forgot something…

    In my opinion, NOW would be a really GOOD time for Misty to wake up, shout Hallelujah, leap out of the hospital bed, dance down the hallway, and right out the doors! Even if not, circumstances are NOT the final authority. If we pray in faith and don’t see change, it does not mean that it is not God’s will for her to be well. We must CONTINUE IN FAITH, and know that by faith and patience WE WILL RECEIVE the PROMISE! Complete healing and restoration belongs to Misty in Christ.

    STANDING!

  41. Justine September 23rd, 2008 1:51 am

    Darren,

    Praying for you and Misty. I am reaching through the internet wires and wrapping you both in a great big hug. I am speechless. You are some kind of guy.

    Blessings, Justine

  42. melissa September 23rd, 2008 2:49 am

    crazy. humans have this compulsively selfish way of thinking that they and all of their problems are the center of the universe. people are dying all the time. this is just one more. so, the guy’s poetic…does that make his story more important than the homeless alcoholic that’s dying slowly of cirrhosis? not really. crazy. just another way to pass the time i s’pose.

  43. Jerri September 23rd, 2008 5:17 am

    Mark 5
    21When Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other side of the lake, a large crowd gathered around him while he was by the lake. 22Then one of the synagogue rulers, named Jairus, came there. Seeing Jesus, he fell at his feet 23and pleaded earnestly with him, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.” 24So Jesus went with him.

    A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

    30At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

    31″You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”

    32But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

    35While Jesus was still speaking, some men came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue ruler. “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher any more?”

    36Ignoring what they said, Jesus told the synagogue ruler, “DON’T BE AFRAID; JUST BELIEVE.”

    37He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James. 38When they came to the home of the synagogue ruler, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. 39He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.” 40But they laughed at him.
    After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. 41He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!” ). 42Immediately the girl stood up and walked around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished. 43He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat.

    I don’t know what the tests will say. I only know my God has never been bound by any test result. He’s not particularly impressed with medical diagnosis, and statistics seem to be His favorite joke. All medical reports do is give proof to His healing and give testimony to His greatness when He acts in ways the tests cannot explain.

    So let it be with Misty.

  44. flo smith September 23rd, 2008 5:37 am

    When you have done all you can, you must stand in the grace of God. Love you and praying.

  45. Jerri September 23rd, 2008 5:53 am

    MELISSA,

    Yes, people are dying all the time. You ask a good question: does that make his story more important than the homeless acoholic that’s dying slowly of cirrhosis? No. The difference is Darren is telling Misty’s story. Are you telling the story of the alcoholic? Is someone else? If so, where? I guarantee you people will surround him/her with prayer.

    But here is my question: What is your story that you feel offended that we are praying so fervently for Misty and Darren? What life was stolen from you? Who failed you when they should have been praying for and supporting you? And how can we pray now?

    Your comments tell me that someone else has communicated to you that your concers are selfish and unimportant. I haven’t read that in the Bible. The Bible says be anxious for nothing but with thanksgiving present your prayers and petitions to God, and the peace that surpasses understanding will guard your hearts and minds. It says to cast your cares on the Lord because He cares for you. It says you are so important He was willing to die for you so you would have a way to reach Him. It says right now He is actively seeking you.

    Melissa, you did not visit here by accident. How do you need people to rally around you and war for you? I take the liberty to tell you to reply here or visit my website and email me. Either way, I hope to hear from you because you are important and your story matters.

  46. Karen September 23rd, 2008 6:43 am

    We don’t know each other but we are family in the Lord. We are praying for your wife, Misty and you and your family! Your unwavering faith in the Lord is rare and so inspiring. Thank you for sharing your journey and in the process of it, encouraging us to grow our faith in a God who is capable!

  47. Yvonne Moss September 23rd, 2008 7:22 am

    If others read these comments, I thought I’d mention a little fact about the song ‘It is well with my soul.’ It was written by Horatio Spafford while at sea. He had already be ruined fiancially by loosing all in the Chicago fire and then, while his wife and 4 girls sailed to England, the ship crashed. All 4 daughters died at see. When he sailed to meet his wife, he penned the song.

    I find great solace and peace from the history of this song and the words. Mr. Spafford even used the sea to discrbe his sorrow..

    When sorrows like sea billows roll;
    whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
    It is well, it is well, with my soul.

    This is so powerful. Finding Christ is the midst of pain and suffering. We should all have such faith.
    I know Darren does.

    Holding you up in prayer and waiting for Misty’s miracle! The Lord led me to these scriptures:

    …This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified.John 11:4

    …Jesus said unto her, “Said I not unto thee, that if thou would believe, thou should see the glory of God?” John 11:40

    Trusting and waiting to see the awesome mighty hand of God. Your faith and confidence in God is so contagious!

    watching and praying for a miracle.

    my devotional this morning was based on Mark 9:23:

    ” ‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.”

    (full story)
    17A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech. 18Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.”

    19″O unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”

    20So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.

    21Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?”

    “From childhood,” he answered. 22″It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”

    23″ ‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.”

    24Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

    25When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the evil[a] spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”

    26The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” 27But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.

    28After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”

    29He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer.”

    More to Say by Alicia Keister

    i remember everything from my childhood
    like “seek ye first” and “i can do all things”
    but now it seems so distant
    i feel like everything has changed

    and tonight i am seeking Your mercy
    and tonight i am seeking Your face
    can You find me in the piles of all this wreckage?
    can You see me in the corners of Your grace?
    tonight

    ..prayers…

    “Thank you Lord for your Almighty healing hand. Thank you for healing and restoring Misty. We cast the enemy away, in any shape or form that he comes at her, In Jesus Name!!! We speak life into her body. We speak the blood of Jesus over and through her body. The same power that raised Jesus up, we pray that power over Misty NOW!!! In Jesus Name!!! I pray the full armor of God over Darren to protect him from anything that comes at him(negativity, bad reports) will bounce off of him and he will have the JOY of the Lord!!! Thank you Lord for your word that says, “By your stripes Misty IS healed”. No matter the circumstances, We stand together and believe in your word and Misty’s Miracle. By the power of the Holy Spirit I pray, In Jesus Name, Amen!!!

  67. Debra September 23rd, 2008 10:38 am

    I was reading these precious posts and praying for Misty to, like the song, “Rise Up, Death Has No Hold On You”. And, seeing all the love, support and prayers, I thought of Moses and the battle the Isrealites fought when as long as his hands were up, the Isrealites won. Darren and Misty, you have Aaron’s and Hur’s lifting you and your arms up. No need to grow weary. We are standing with you and the victory is near. Can’t wait to see it!

    Darren,

    My heart hurts for you, Misty, and Olivia. A link to your blog was e-mailed to me today from a fellow Messiah grad, and then I was shocked to see on your myspace page that you, my husband, and myself graduated in the same year from Messiah, and both you and I are from New Jersey (1997 Southern Regional grad). Please know that Misty is lifted up in my prayers today, no matter what the outcome is. You and little Olivia are also in my thoughts and prayers, that the Lord would sustain you both during this time. Keep up the faith as it seems you always have been.

    Blessings,
    Beth

  91. Lisi Klus September 23rd, 2008 2:26 pm

  92. Stacy Rapp September 23rd, 2008 2:28 pm

    Darren,
    I am praying for you and your family. We serve a mighty and awesome God. Your experience is humbling to me. I am rebuked by your godly example of surrender to the King. Praying for a miracle.

  94. Aubrey Bishai September 23rd, 2008 2:56 pm

    I love what you wrote about the stones – it reminds me “His eye is on the sparrow”…and so I KNOW He watches Misty. May the Lord be rebuilding her wings as we speak! May she fly home to you and Olivia renewed!

    What pure and utter faith – what a joy to be able to stand with you in prayer!

  95. Amy September 23rd, 2008 3:13 pm

    Beautifully written. I have been praying for you and your family for the last few weeks. I will hold you all close to my heart and my thoughts today.

  96. Valery September 23rd, 2008 3:27 pm

    Darren, I’m still standing on God’s Word along with you and Misty. Where two or three are gathered in His name, He is present. This website has brought hundreds together in His name. All for one common cause, to lift up the name of the Lord and give Him all the glory when Misty is healed. Love you both and Olivia too.

  97. Tiffany McCarrick September 23rd, 2008 3:37 pm

    My family and my church are all praying.
    “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

  98. Gary Hampson September 23rd, 2008 3:40 pm

    Darren, our hearts are full of thoughts of you, Misty, and Olivia and we pray that the Lord’s comfort and the peace that only He can provide are ever present with you today and in the coming days.

  99. Carol Lindsay September 23rd, 2008 3:40 pm

    I was contemplating on what to say when I realized that today is the 23rd. Instantly I thought of the 23rd Pslam. You, Misty, and all your family members already know the Supernatural peace and the promises that the Lord has given you. Hold on to the Shepherd’s hand and continue to trust God for the miracle. We are standing along side you with our faith and prayers.

  100. Laura B. September 23rd, 2008 3:49 pm

    It’s 3:43. Don’t know if the test is still being conducted, or if results have been given. Know that myself as well as countless others continue to lift Misty up in prayer. In our darkest hour – He is there. Sending you my love, sending Him my most heartfelt prayer. Although cancer is in her brain, He is in her heart, and you Misty and Olivia are in mine.
    Much love Darren

  101. Jamell September 23rd, 2008 3:56 pm

  102. Helen Ransom September 23rd, 2008 4:13 pm

    Hi Darren, My husband and I both attended Messiah at the same time as you. In fact, I remember working to get you on stage for HopeFest (I was the GM of The V at the time). Anyway, I had no idea this was all going on until I saw Joe Polek’s status on Facebook this afternoon. I can’t imagine going through this myself and your faith is astounding. I will pray for Misty!

    Helen

  103. Jessica September 23rd, 2008 4:13 pm

    I can’t say anything that hasn’t been said yet… But wanted you to know that I’m one more person who is praying.

  107. Melissa September 23rd, 2008 4:54 pm

    Jerri, I’m not sure if you are speaking to me, I am the only Melissa I see. However, I didn’t ask a question. So, maybe you are referring to someone else? I’m here to offer my prayers that are not nearly as eloquent as most of the prayers here. However, I still want to offer my thoughts and prayers and let Darren know that he and his family are touching lives across the world. I’m not here about my life. If I have misread and your post wasn’t directed at me, I apologize, but this bothered me a great deal. This site is for Misti.

  108. Michele September 23rd, 2008 4:55 pm

    Waiting – but not on test results…

    Waiting to hear the report that Misty is not only awake but dancing and leaping and praising God!!! Shouting and singing and praising God!!!

    Standing and believing with expectancy!!!

  109. Carol September 23rd, 2008 5:06 pm

    Praying for you and Misty…I have been updated by a coworker and have been inspired by your story….”with prayer all things are possible”

  110. Michael and Lisa LeBlanc September 23rd, 2008 5:11 pm

    We admire your strength and are still hopeful for Gods mysteries to be revealed through Misty.

    Love Lisa and Michael

  111. Jerri September 23rd, 2008 5:11 pm

    Melissa,
    There was a post from another Melissa. It is now gone, and I understand why. However, the moderator did not remove my response. Terri Roberts also refers to it in her comments. I am sorry you are bothered. We understand that. Had you seen it, my response would have made sense. Trust me, I agree that this site is for Misty, and all prayers make a difference.
    Blessings.

  112. Pam Chadwick September 23rd, 2008 5:27 pm

    Darren
    This was sent to me from a prayer chain that has gone out in Florida, I have clipped had enclosed for you.
    We are all on our knee’s lefting Misty up to our Lord, stand firm in his word Darren you are a awesome worrier.
    God Bless,
    Pam and Family

    Hello dear familys. I got this request today, an i wanted to encourage you that what you have to do, you know its what you have to do with out guilt. Firstly tho – i want to tell you, something encouraging. I prayed for a lady, Sue Lasher/Proctors mom, who ws dying,. She called me to come pray for her mom in the hosp , to which i did , an when the nurse ask everybody else to leavle, i’d stay there so they could all go for coffee, i figured, i couldnt do what i had to do w/an audience, so i grabbed hold of the lifeless momma an i rebuked the spirit of death, rt here an now, an called forth life, an recognition, the drs were in there off an on trying to draw blood, trying to get her to come around an she wasnt… they couldnt find a vein to render the blood they needed, so they just give up & said, its a matter of minutes. Well, she was like lifeless, but yet barely breathing, the gang has gone for coffee, an i walked up to her hug her in bed an grab hold of her an rebuke the devil like i said, an rebuke the spirit of death, sickness, disease, disabling, an such, an i prayed life, an recovery, no disabilings an i ask God for a fresh blood transfusion an color into her face & such, an normalcy all way around….. so i laid the woman bk down on her pillow an started to walk awy an before i got to the end of her bed, she sets up & starts talking to me. She said she saw death, staring her in the face an now she heard life. I went flying outta there, to the nurses sta. to tell them, grandmas alive an talking, she come around, nurse said she didnt know how that was possible, but sent me onto getting the fam. as this dont usually last more than a few min. nurse said. I (prayed deliverance from death unto life, an called forth life, an life more abundant..) an gram lives. Well everybody comes a running, an they all got to see her an talk to her, to which when shew as prior lifeless, now shes alive & talking etc… so i exited. I knew my job was done. ( I’d worked for 700 cl an TBN for yrs. in diff transfers) so i knew if God intervened these people would live an not die. The little gramma lived a good while longer an went to be w/the Lord a lot later. she was like in her late 80 /90’s. I’d met Sue in crisis. my husb was on a job — in Fla. from NY… he had a stroke an he was given 4 days to live at most, an we took care of that in short notice, jhe’s alive today. yes! Thats when i met Sue, Karen, Lottie, BJ & all. an we been freinds since. Never did i ever think i was gonna live in Fla. well — here i is — bigger than life. ha ha . Karen put me on pryr team, an i try to help those i think i can. or encourage those in hardtimes so they can make it thru it. I jsut wanted to encourage you ro stand there in the midst of opposition, an call those things that are not as tho they already are. Were to speak life an life more abundantly, no matter what, so speak life, living to the fullness an a glorious testimony. Rebuke the comatose condition, call bk memory to fullness of rememberances, call bk blood to flow in her body to bring life, rebuke the sleeping parts of her body , to awaken an function normally. Call for that the brain be rewired to send normal messages an rebuke pain, her body to be free an functioniong normally, free of pain, no disabilitys an she be able to walk, talk, eat, feed herself an go to bathroom an such normally! That nothing comes bk at her later, rebuke that as well. Lord deliver Misty from this terrible thing, into the healing fullness of life.
    Lord set her free, we speak her free in Jesus name. Plumb out all her veins an arterys, an send fresh blood from the bloodbank of heaven to flow thru her veins, shes your child Lord, we steal her bk from the devil, whose campted out long enuf, we rebuke all his fallen helpers an cohorts, we bind them an cast them all – including his legions, we bind those as well an cast them all, every one of them, bk into the horrible pit, for their under our feet an we say what happens, not them. Lord you didnt make her sick, so she dont have to be, an we speak life, deliverance, an wholeness an complete healing from the tip of her head to the soles of her feet. amen?? amen!!
    Be ye healed an whole Misty — we call it forth, arise an walk, be healed in Jesus Name. amen an amen..

    Print this, its jsut a point of contact, but its the same as a pryr cloth, cut it into little pcs an put it under her pillow , in her pocket or sox, === let it minister to her when nothing else can. When she cant do for herself, its just a contact God touching her .. put some on the chair she’d set in, do what you have to do to touch the throne of grace. beleive me – i’ve heard some pretty wild testimonys of these little pcs of paper what it can an will do.

    Put one in your bra as a reminder an let God minister peace put some in your pocket to continue peace an calm, Its just you touching a bit of heaven the only way we know how – thru ‘puter.

    Keep in touch. shirley xoxo

    Praying and believing that Misty will be healed.
    My husband has always believed that a miracle is any action that brings another to faith. Look at how many miracles have already taken place. Your love and devotion to your family and to the Lord is incredible and inspiring .Thank you for sharing your story with us. You have touched so many lives and I thank you for touching mine.

  115. Tony (Tbone) Ortiz September 23rd, 2008 6:17 pm

    Hey brother Darren I have come to your site at leat 20 times today .. and everytime I have said a prayer to heaven for you my brother .. as I have said in the past that I do with all my heart beleive in the healing power of God .. first by faith and second because I have personally felt the healing hand of God in my own bones.. my knee to be excact and a few month ago the Lord healed my 75 year old dad from prastate cancer and He will heal Misty because in His word He promise and God always keeps His promise .. on another note and this message is for Melissa my sister in Christ .. early this morning I read that comment by someone else also called Melissa and as I was going to say or send her a word of encouragement I saw that Jerri had already said it all and very well put I must add .. I already knew it was not the same Melissa who always speaks words from our Father in heaven and also is well versed in the Word of God .. I also noticed that the comment is been erased which is even better cause the weasel (devil) has no part in this .. God bless you all and we all will stand with Darren and his family before the throne of God for a miracal .. God bless .. Tbone out

    Isaiah 43
    18 “Forget the former things;
    do not dwell on the past.

    19 See, I am doing a new thing!
    Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
    I am making a way in the desert
    and streams in the wasteland.

    May you find your miracle, your stream in the desert tonight. God bless you.

The moment I called out, you stepped in; you made my life large with strength. Psalm 138: 1-3

    “Walk By Faith” sung by Jeremy Camp

    Would I believe you when you would say
    Your hand will guide my every way
    Will I receive the words You say
    Every moment of every day

    Well I will walk by faith
    Even when I cannot see it
    Well because this broken road
    Prepares Your will for me

    Help me to win my endless fears
    You’ve been so faithful for all my years
    With the one breath You make me
    Your grace covers all I do

    yeah, yeah , yeah, yeah, ya

    Well I’m broken- but I still see Your face
    Well You’ve spoken- pouring Your words of grace

    Well hallelujah, hallelu
    (I will walk by faith)
    Well hallelujah, hallelu
    (I will walk by faith)

    I will walk, I will walk, I will walk by faith
    I will, I will, I will walk by faith

    ~~~~~~~~
    Still praying and firmly believing in the GOD of the universe who created His beautiful Misty and who is lovingly caring for this precious family! My faith is in my LORD my GOD!
    Now it happened, the day after, that He went into a city called Nain; and many of His disciples went with Him, and a large crowd. And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her. When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother. Then fear came upon all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has risen up among us”; and, “God has visited His people.” And this report about Him went throughout all Judea and all the surrounding region.
    Luke 7:11-17
    “Believe, believe that when you are chosen to suffer, it is because of God’s love for you. All the Saints in Heaven suffered, but they never had to carry their cross alone. Through your love and obedience, much fruit is being produced. So continue forth, dear children, and be willing to do what God and I are asking of you. Continue forth and embrace God’s Will in your lives. Amen.”
    Darren,
    147 comments on this beautiful life that you have been blessed with. I’m not sure what you are doing this very second but know that you and your loved ones are in my prayers. I believe in Misty’s healing. But what I believe in as well is your placement in her life. Whatever the outcome of these tests results is not the ‘miracle’– the ‘miracle’ is your faith-filled journey through it all and the witness you and Misty have shown the world. Thank you for your honesty, strength and transparency. Olivia must not even realize yet the ‘miracle’ that she has been born into. Blessings to you all. praying continually.
