who i look like part 1
Ok, first I need to thanks Shannon for posting those pictures to facebook. I really got a kick out of them. They were from my 6th grade trip to PEEC (pocono environmental education center). It was 1992 and apparently baseball hats were “in”. I had a black Chicago Bulls hat plastered to my head for a good two years (I was ashamed of my curls back then).
And thanks to Colleen for bringing up the fact that at least 6000 people around this globe have told me I look like Justin Timberlake. Here is me in 6th grade and him in the mickey mouse club:
And no, Misty wasn’t in the first picture. She and I unfortunately didn’t meet until high school (and we went to separate schools).
I don’t know what it is, but I get an uncanny amount of people telling me I look like one person or another. It’s really quite odd how often I get this and how varied the comparisons. I made a list a couple years back of all the comparisons people have made – I’m going to try to find it. It was quite amusing.
In the mean time, I’ll leave you with a couple recent ones (within the past year) that are pretty comical. These are 100% true comments I have gotten from people:
1) Fidel Castro (when I wear my green hat)
2) Mr Tumnus (the fawn-man in chronicles of narnia)
3) The “free-credit-report-dot-com guy” (the one that sings)
Oh there are so many more…

Okay – you’ll get a kick out of this – only if you’ve seen it though…..
When I took the kids to the movie the other day, there was a commercial with a hip Santa – he was a trip… For some reason he reminded me of you and since I don’t really know you – that was kind of weird… Anyway, it was a new ’some kind of phone that does everything’ commercial… When I have more time one day, I’ll see if I can find it on the internet and forward it to you for a laugh – or two!!

Your post here made me laugh…I get the complete opposite reaction from people…my friends from college used to call me a “chameleon” because I looked different everyday and in every picture that was taken of me! And they have always told me that they have never seen anyone that looks like me…to some that may seem like a dig, but they were just telling the truth…I like it that way, lol. Makes me feel unique!

oh my goodness, you know i have told you about justin timberlake, so true. and its hysterical how every time i see that silly “free credit report dot com” commercial i alway say how that reminds me of you especially when we used to work in tactical radios branch together and everyone used to hear you singing down the hallways…those were the good old work days :-)

okay so you did look a little like Justin Timberlake back then but only because you posted his picture – I was too old to watch MMC! So I knew it was you in the second picture bottom left – were you in the first picture or was it just there to confuse us?
It was great seeing you the other night. It took me until I saw the show the second night and saw you there to recognize that it was your voice talking to David near the end.
