a great post
For my Christian readers, I’d like to pass on a great blog post from today. Mark Batterson exhorts us with a candid discussion about how he hasn’t done the best job of personal bible study/reading in recent years. He notes that its imperitive for us to feed ourselves, not just rely on a pastor to “feed” us. Makes a lot of sense when we think about how in reference to physical needs, even my Olivia is feeding herself…and she is 2. Most of us are spiritually mature enough to be feeding ourselves in that area as well.

It is so easy for mankind to take the easy way out. We deprive ourselves of good *food* when we do that, right?
This is why Christians don’t get along. Most of them don’t read the Bible at all or they use it out of context. A part time reader is usually looking for approval of what they have decided to do. If you are a Christian, pick up your bible or go to biblegateway.com and pick a translation and start reading tomorrow morning. Their are many web-sites that have different schedules you can follow. I know a church that the entire congregation does this and whenever they see each other, they can share together. Is there a better way to create unity among believers? The world needs to see this. We are the light of the world!
I meant to say the light in the world!
