Hey, I'm Darren. In September of 2008, I lost my wife Misty to brain cancer. The journey has been life changing for me, my family and for many of the thousands of daily readers of this site. Today, I'm living in Long Branch NJ with my daughter and doing my best to capture here the story that God is still writing. Whether or not you believe in God, I hope that you join the family here as we all struggle with understanding what faith really is and whether or not God is still relevant in 2009.

Sept 23 After Misty's brain has stopped working, we are forced to pull her off life support
July 6 Stopping all treatments, Misty is given 2 weeks to live.
July 1 Misty is hospitalized for a seizure. Also, today's report of MRI is not good.
June 23 Misty had a bad seizure, but it was isolated, so all is well.
June 21 She's getting better!
May 30 First "no-change" MRI since Oct 2007!
May 27 Misty is losing weight and unable to walk anymore.
May 14 Misty's speech is about gone and MRI looks strange.
May 9 Wednesday is prayer day.
